Our Story
A Licensed Plumbing Contractor Serving Lawrence Since 2011
Aroso Plumbing Lawrence is a licensed plumbing contractor serving Lawrence, Massachusetts and the surrounding Merrimack Valley. Marco Aroso runs the company as Owner and Master Plumber, and he was working in this trade for years before the business opened in 2011. He learned the housing stock here the slow way, in stone foundation basements with 6 feet of headroom, cutting out cast iron that had rotted through at the floor line while the tenant upstairs waited to use the sink. That is still the work. The company stayed small on purpose so the person who quotes the job is the person who does it.
Every call starts with diagnosis, not a price. On a drain, that means finding out whether the blockage sits in the trap arm, the branch line or the building drain before a machine comes off the truck, because those are three different jobs at three different prices. On a leak, it means a static pressure test and a look at the meter before anything opens up. Once Aroso Plumbing Lawrence knows what the repair actually is, the price goes in writing before work starts. Anything that needs a permit gets one pulled under a Massachusetts plumbing license, and the rough and final inspections get scheduled through the City of Lawrence Inspectional Services Department.
Lawrence generates a specific kind of plumbing work, and most of it traces back to building age. The three decker and two family stock built between the 1880s and the 1920s still runs on cast iron drain stacks that scale shut and crack at the hub, and on galvanized supply that closes up with rust until a second floor shower drops to a trickle. In January and February the calls shift to split supply lines in unheated basements, closed off apartments and exterior hose bibbs. On the low blocks near the Spicket and across South Lawrence, groundwater in the basement drives sump pump, check valve and backwater valve work. And a large share of the water heaters and boilers in this city went in during the appliance replacement wave that followed the September 2018 Merrimack Valley gas event, which means thousands of units are hitting the age where anode rods, thermostats, relief valves and expansion tanks start failing across the same neighborhoods at once.
I am Marco Aroso, Owner and Master Plumber at Aroso Plumbing Lawrence. I have spent my career in Merrimack Valley buildings, most of them older than my grandparents, and I opened this company in 2011 because I wanted customers to deal with the plumber directly instead of a dispatcher. I would rather spend 20 extra minutes finding the real cause than sell somebody a repair that comes back in six months. If you call this number, you get me or somebody I trained.
- The owner is on the truck. Marco Aroso quotes the job and does the job, so nothing gets lost between the estimator and the tech.
- Permits pulled and inspections scheduled on every job that needs them, under 248 CMR 10.00.
- Camera inspection on any recurring drain or sewer problem, so the recommendation is based on what the pipe looks like inside rather than a guess.
- Multifamily and landlord work handled around tenants, including shared stack problems where one unit's clog surfaces in another.
- One phone number, answered by a plumber, at 2 in the morning as readily as at 2 in the afternoon.

Testimonials
What Lawrence, MA Customers Say
> “My kitchen sink drain kept backing up every few days from grease buildup in the old cast-iron line. Aroso Plumbing came out, ran a camera, and cleared the clog with a powered auger before replacing a cracked section of pipe under the floor. Water now drains straight through without any gurgling.”
CMCarlos M.South Lawrence, MA
> “After the January freeze, our upstairs bathtub faucet started leaking steadily from a split supply line. The plumber isolated the line, swapped in new copper sections, and pressure-tested the whole run. The drip stopped and we haven't had any more ice-related issues since.”
ERElena R.Prospect Hill, Lawrence
> “Our water heater was delivering rusty water on the hot side and the pilot kept going out. They replaced the anode rod, flushed the tank, and installed a new thermocouple. Hot water is now clear and consistent, and the heater hasn't shut off unexpectedly in the two months since.”
DTDavid T.Arlington Mills, Lawrence
